HISTORY
In the summer of 1982 a group of Christians from the city of Columbus
headed by H. David McIlrath gathered and agreed to the need for an
independent nondenominational Christian school.  That same year Liberty
Christian Academy was established to provide an education that has the
Bible as its authority and Christian principles and standards applied to every
aspect of its operation.

In the fall of 1983 a vacated school building was leased and the doors were
opened with 135 students attending in preschool through 8th grade.  A grade
level was added each year thereafter until we had our first graduating class, a
class of eight students.

In 1987 a former elementary school building was purchased.  It is the current
home for our Columbus Campus.  When needing additional space,
classrooms were leased from area churches in Pataskala, Pickerington and
Reynoldsburg.  Then in the fall of 2008 a new construction in Pataskala was
completed.  This enabled us to consolidate the students from the branch
campuses located in churches and create our East Campus.  There is a
preschool through high school program at both the Columbus Campus and
the East Campus.
