ACADEMICS
Outstanding Academics
Liberty Christian Academy is dedicated to providing our students with an education that not only challenges them academically but also shapes their character and worldview. That's why we use the BJU Press Curriculum from preschool through high school across all subjects. The curriculum is built on four key components - Biblical Worldview, Academic Rigor, Critical Thinking, and Technology Solutions - all working together to prepare our students to serve God and make a lasting impact in the world.
- Biblical Worldview – Biblical integration is key to formulating a Christian worldview. The curriculum allows faith and learning to work together to shape each student’s educational experience. This Christian worldview permeates our curriculum materials, and encourages our students to think about knowledge and experience through a biblical lens.
- Academic Rigor – BJU Press defines academic rigor as “…the educational experience that engages students in content appropriate to their academic level and helps them learn to analyze, evaluate, and ultimately create.” This component of the curriculum ensures our students are prepared to think critically in their personal and professional lives.
- Critical Thinking – Critical thinking is the ability to evaluate, analyze and synthesize information so that the quality of understanding and knowledge is improved. This is fostered through discussion, discovery activities, and writing assignments.
- Technology Solutions – BJU Press has developed various resources for parents and students such as Bible apps that coordinate with the Bible curriculum, homework helps, and other online resources. At Liberty Christian Academy we are committed to providing opportunities for our students to utilize technology as a tool for learning.
