Please Note: Menu is subject to change due to supply issues. We try to substitute with a closely related food item. Thank you for understanding.

At LCA our continuing goal is to provide meals for your children in a safe and sanitary environment that is in compliance with the Licking County Health Department and the Ohio Department of Health.  Our kitchen manager has received the Serve Safe Certification which is accredited by the American National Standards Institute-Conference for Food Protection and certification in the School Nutrition Association.

We will continue to offer nutritional lunches as we strive to meet the requirements set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  On average, about 30% to 50% of your child’s calories are consumed while at school, and we want to do our part to make sure that they are not empty calories.  Our goals, as defined by the USDA, are as follows:

  • Decrease the number of starchy vegetables on our lunch menu
  • Reduce the sodium in our meals
  • Establish maximums and minimums for calories
  • Serve low-fat milk
  • Increase the fruits and vegetables kids are offered along with the variety that is offered
  • Increase whole grains
  • Minimize trans fat

We would like to encourage parents to join us as we try to educate your children on how important a healthy diet is.  Teaching them good eating habits now will affect them for the rest of their lives.  Not only will it ensure they are getting the nutrients they need as they grow, it will also reduce their chances of having weight-related illness; such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.  Our goal is to do our part to make your children healthy, happy, and productive.
